During these years, San Martino di Castrozza is a well-known destination, and the management of the Hotel Belvedere is particularly appreciated by its guests. In the early 1960s, the hotel&#8217;s roof, still part of the original construction, began to show the first signs of collapse. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Renovation was urgently needed, but in 1966, in the midst of the works, a terrible flood struck the Primiero Valley. The roof was not completed, and the heavy rain caused significant damage inside the structure. Adding insult to injury, the flood cut off the road to Fiera di Primiero for weeks, making it impossible to recover the materials needed to repair the damage. Departing from Belgium, on the advice of the local tourist office, he happened to stay at the Hotel Belvedere and met Anita. Riding the wave of the growing tourist phenomenon in San Martino di Castrozza, he decided to build a hotel to leave to his beloved five daughters Anita, Dorina, Olga, Piera, and Mary. In 1929, after an initial phase where the hotel was managed by an external operator, it returned to the Lucian family&#8217;s hands.
